Mark Your Calendar: California’s Next Statewide Primary Election is June 2, 2026
Here are some key dates to keep in mind:
May 4, 2026: Counties will begin mailing vote-by-mail ballots to all active registered voters.
May 5, 2026: Ballot drop-off locations will open across the state.
May 18, 2026: This is the final day to register to vote ahead of the June Primary.
May 19 – June 2, 2026: If you miss the registration deadline, you can still vote using Same Day Voter Registration and a provisional ballot at your local polling place or county elections office.
June 2, 2026: Election Day! Polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
June 9, 2026: Deadline for vote-by-mail ballots to be received, as long as they are postmarked by Election Day.
