Announcement –Become a volunteer for the South Lake Fire Safe Council
Concerned about the risk of wild fires? Do you want to learn about fire safety and play a role in making Lake County fire safe? Become a volunteer with the South Lake Fire Safe Council. SLFSC is a 501c3 non- profit organization. The Council currently runs a chipping program, is a source for reflective address signs, a resource for the community through our website and is a hub for many local organizations directed toward fire prevention. The Mission of the South Lake Fire Safe Council is to reduce wild fire hazards through fuel reduction and education. It meets on the first Wednesday of the month from 2 to 3:30 pm. at the Middletown Fire Station on Hwy 175. Bring your ideas and skills and volunteer for a very worthwhile organization. This would look good on your resume.
